Sunshine and Shadows
Published by Delta Education in 1988. The Sunshine and Shadows module introduces young students in an organized fashion to some of the characteristics of light. Students investigate the properties of sunshine and shadows in the world around them. They learn to observe, describe, manipulate, and identify shadows. The students will learn that the shape, size, and location of a shadow are dependent on the position of the light source relative to the object that casts the shadow. They will predict the shape of the shadow an object will cast when a light source moves. The activities in this module will take a total of about 12 class sessions to complete.
